A Passion for Caregiving

I’m Jarrel Bowens, and I am so excited for individuals and families in the greater Slidell area to experience Right Hand Senior Care’s compassionate and dignified approach to home care services.

My passion for caregiving goes beyond my professional career. From a young age, I found fulfillment in caring for my blind grandmother, who was also wheelchair-bound.

She inspired me to pursue a career in caregiving, where I could make a difference in people’s lives every day.

My nursing journey began at Nicholls State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I developed a specialization in cardiac nursing and now, after well over a decade of nursing experience, am taking the next step in my career with Right Hand Care.

Heather Monoc, Right Hand CEO, noted Jarrel’s dedication and leadership haven’t gone unnoticed. “He’s been honored with a leadership award from the Ochsner Medical Board and received recognition from the Northshore District Nurses Association for his outstanding contributions to the field,” she said.

At 41 years young, Jarrel hails from the heart of Texas, born in Austin, but raised in the charming town of Slidell. Family is everything to him, especially his two amazing kids, aged 8 and 10.

When he’s not busy making a positive impact in home healthcare, you’ll find Jarrel indulging in his hobbies. Whether it’s hiking in the great outdoors, swimming in serene waters, hitting strikes at the bowling alley, perfecting his swing on the golf course, or even showcasing his acting skills. Jarrel knows how to enjoy life to the fullest.
